Cancellation & range safety

Straightforward terms so there are no surprises, and the safety standards every student agrees to before stepping on the line.

Registration

Cancellation, rescheduling & refunds

All course registrations are non-refundable.
Your registration may be applied to another class date within 3 months of purchase, at no extra charge.
Reschedule requests should be sent by email or text at least 48 hours before class so your seat can be released to someone else.
No-shows forfeit the seat, but the 3-month transfer window still applies once.
Seats are limited and assigned in the order registrations are received.
Range fees and gun rental are paid separately at the range and are not part of tuition.

Weather & instructor changes

Classes run rain or shine unless conditions are unsafe — lightning, ice, or extreme heat advisories.
If I cancel or postpone a class for any reason, you may move to any future date or request a full refund.
Weather decisions are made the morning of class and sent by email and text to everyone registered.

On the line

Treat every firearm as if it is loaded, at all times.
Never point the muzzle at anything you are not willing to destroy.
Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on target.
Know your target and what is beyond it.
Firearms stay unloaded and cased until the instructor gives the command.
Eye and ear protection are worn by everyone on the range, at all times.
Muzzle stays downrange — no turning with a firearm in hand.
Any student may call a cease-fire. When 'cease fire' is called, stop, unload, bench the firearm, and step back.

Conduct

Unsafe gun handling results in immediate dismissal with no refund. Safety is not negotiable.
Anyone under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or impairing medication will be sent home.
You must be legally eligible to possess a firearm under Texas and federal law.
Applicants must be 21 or older, or 18+ if active-duty or honorably discharged U.S. military.
Passing the class requires the state written exam and the 50-round DPS proficiency qualification.
